Original article: https://www.interviewmagazine.com/fashion/thierry-mugler-bares-all In my Moore College Of Art & Design Adult Continuing Education courses, I was challenged to find an existing magazine article about birds and redesign the cover and layout of the article. I was determined to find something to do with the late fashion designer Thierry Mugler, and discovered a 2019 Interview Magazine interview of Mugler by Tippi Hedren, star of Hitchock's "The Birds". I used Mugler's Fall 1995 Couture show, in which Hedren herself walked, as the jumping off point of the design. I referenced the blocky, blue lights and architecture of the iconic catwalk. In the typography I drew inspiration from Mugler's sculpture of the human body, from his aerodynamic tailoring to his own muscularly built frame.
